In the proposed project we expect to improve diagnosis and treatment for patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases by establishing a new biomarker based on deep learning and big data outputs. We will use brain age, a neuroinaging-derived marker of brain health which has previously rarely been tested longitudinally, but not in neurodegenerative disorders. The analyses will help to assess treatment response as well as stratifying and sub-typing neurodegenerative disease based on brain structural characteristics in addition to multiple other markers of disease expression.
